I have searched for a solution, but haven’t found one yet, so thought I would give it one last try before giving up on Kodi.
My setup is kodi 16.1 on an amazon fire tv (2nd generation) wired to the router. My media is on a QNAP. My laptop (windows 10)which is wireless, also has access to my QNAP.
When I first start up the amazon fire tv, I can access smb for maybe a few minutes, before it loses connection (says timed out). The only way I can reconnect is by rebooting the fire tv. My laptop has no problem access my QNAP at any time. Losing connection on the fire tv happens whether my laptop is turned on or not.
I have tried setting a network location in Kodi, but that also losses connection.
Anybody have any idea how to fix this?
