Ott tv mxq box

My kodi box stated above suddenly stopped working with a red light displayed when switched on by remote control. It started with the blue flashing light after putting on power and when switched on through remote the red light will come on and it only responds to remote control. When plugged in no light will show until the remote control will bring the red light. What should I do? I am a first time user of the box. Pls help.
