Hey folks,
so i am completely stuck and need some help. Here is what i have done so far:
Background
Been running XBMC/Kodi since 2011 and most recently on Ubuntu 12.04 with Kodi 15.2
Last night i went to upgrade both the OS and Kodi and although i got very close, i am now stuck lol…here is what i did:
- Upgraded Ubuntu from 12.04 to 14.04
- Upgraded Ubuntu 14.04 to 16.04
- Uninstalled Kodi 15.2 (Before uninstalling, Kodi 15.2 was running fine on the upgraded OS)
- Installed Kodi 17
Now all that happens when i launch Kodi, it shows the initial splash screen and then sit at “Add-on migration in progress – please wait…”
I check the logs and it showed some errors with old add-ons and repositories, so i removed those but it still just sits there. I reinstalled Kodi a few times just to check. I also saw a few ppl posting similar issues sometimes mentioning the CEC controller, tried disabling that and didnt help so i reverted back.
