I’m new Kodi and no doubt this is not the only post regarding streaming issues using it, and won’t be the last, but I’m in need of some advice / help to get live TV streams to run smoother. I’ve tried loads of tweaks, settings changes, addons that have been mentioned over the internet, but everything I’ve tried makes no difference.
The trouble I have is that when I start I live stream, everything is perfect for the first 20 – 30 seconds, then I get problems with choppy playback, pixelation and buffering. Sometimes, when I get these issues happening, the stream will cut out totally and go back to the Kodi homepage, and has made Kodi hang up on a few occasions as well. I’m running Kodi on a Windows 7 PC to my main TV via HDMI, through a wired internet connection with download speeds of around 15 Mbps, it has a 128GB SSD, 6GB of RAM, 3.0GHz dual core processor, and a 1GB Nvidia GeForce 210 graphics card. I’m pretty sure my set up is ample to be able to cope with running Kodi effectively, so can’t understand why I get so many issues, when there are obviously loads of Kodi users that have no problems at all. These problems only apply to live TV streams, anything else I stream works perfectly.
Any help or advice someone could give me to help make my Kodi live TV streaming better would be much appreciated.
