I noticed a very annoying change in search functionality between KODI 17 and older versions
In previous versions when you did a search you would get a list of results. You could pick one and upon completion pick the next of the results and so on.
essentially you’d run the search once and the results would remain available to pick which ones you want to open
In KODI 17 you run a search, results would show and you can pick one to view.
After viewing you drop back to the search box where you need to type in your search in again to search again.
all search results you had from the previous search are gone.
Even if you dont want another search you still drop to the search box and in this case you just need to leave the search text string empty and enter to get a empty result screen and then you can do back button
I seriously hope this behaviour is unintended, having to retype the same text string every result you wish to see is annoying at least.
