lost my artwork (posters and fan art)

So, this during the upgrade from 16.x to 17.x and I messed it up. . . but want to fix it.

I have 2 TV boxes (android) and my phone (nexus 4) as well as 2 linux laptops, 1 Mac desktop all running KODI 17 and using a database hosted on the iMac in a VM. (sounds complicated, but it’s not. They all just connect to a linux server on my network that hosts the db and video files) Everything have been working great for well over a year now!

When KODI 17 came out, my TV box updated it’s self and worked without any issue. (so the problem was not the update) but at the same time, I had moved/renamed a bunch of music files, and the KODI db had not been updated with the changes, so I just ran “update library” and then “clean library”. During the “clean library” it asked about the videos at …. location and I said “remove” OOP’S I just deleted my entire video library, I don’t know why that happened. (this may have been an update glitch)

I went to my other TV box and had the same problem, update and all gone!

So I went to my iMac, it obviously had not updated it’s self, and the entire video library was still intact, and worked. I exported the library, and then tried the update. It went fine, tried to update and clean the library, and everything disappeared as well. No problem I just imported my library from the previously exported file and BAM! it was all back and working perfect.

Now, back to my TV boxes, they also had the video library restored, but all the pictures are missing (I am continuing to use the Confluence skin)

If I grab the “context menu” of any video and goto information -> refresh it gives me a message about there being locally stored data (or images) and asks if I want to re-download them. If I hit yes, they come back, and stay back. (they will also show up on every other android device again)

What can I do to get them all back? I don’t want to delete everything and start over (lots of work done reorganizing and changing out some fan art etc)

Where is this “local stored images” data? and why if I “refresh” on one device, the images restore on the other devices? doesn’t seem very local to me.

I am pretty hand in Linux, and on the Mac, but Android is a bit of a PITS to get around on. (keep in mind, that all the images show fine on the iMac, where the export import was done)
