Various Enquiries on Windows Platform

Hi there, I am a newbie so please bear with me.

I have downloaded Kodi 17.1 on a Windows 10 platform using a laptop PC connected to an ADSL line via wi-fi through a router. I have the following questions:

1. Do you need a Kodi Box to run Kodi properly?
2.Certain Video Add-ons run smoothly such as UK Music Video Juke Box so my Internet connection must be working. However, I get errors on other add-ons like “Aljazeera error. View log for more details on this error.” This error comes up with Hallmark Channel and Popcornflix etc.
3. Other errors on Popcornflix and Fox News include “Playback Failed. check the log for more info.” or “One or more items failed to play. Check log for more info.” On checking the Event Log nothing shows except a video scanning error on my personal videos. Am I looking in the right place for log errors?
4. After using the activation code to sign into Fox Sports it says to watch live sign into your TV provider. Which one do I select as Kodi Tv is not listed. When going back to Kodi and clicking OK it says “Unable to log into your TV provider, ensure that you have activated correctly.”
5. How do you remove/delete unwanted Add-Ons?
