Skin Backup Not Working, Reboot Problem

Over the weekend I tried to back up the skin settings and it does nothing, no message that it failed but no backup file either. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the skin helper backup addon but no luck. Also if I reboot, I get a blank grey screen, no interface whatsoever. Running the latest beta 3.7.55. Not sure what happened here, had no unusual shutdowns, nothing out of the ordinary, and nothing changed. It just started happening. Any ideas?
