I have been using KODI on an Android TV to provide a slideshow of images served from a PC via uPNP. Until recently this was working fine, and I like the way KODI supports a recursive, random slideshow which meets my needs well.
However, this has recently stopped working. I can’t be 100% sure, but it seems to be when KODI was updated to V16.X (and I am continuing to have the same issues with V17.1).
The problem does seem to be KODI-specific, as I can access the same files on the same device using other apps without a problem. Also nothing has changed on the server and other devices can access it without problems.
Key symptoms:
- I can access the share and navigate through the directory hierarchy, including seeing small directory thumbnails. However if I try and browse into the image directories, I don’t see the individual image thumbnails
- When I try and run a slideshow the screen just goes blank and no images are displayed.
Any idea what could be causing this?
