It is a rather weird/complicated issue. I am sure someone could just say do this this, then it’s fixed. LOL
I installed v17 yesterday and having tested it, I am not overly impressed with the new interface. I decided to roll back to v16. It was installed and running with no problem.
However, the subtitles on my 3D movies are all messed up. If it is a SBS movie, the subtitles will only be displayed on the left hand side of the screen. If it is TAB, the subtitle is in the middle of the screen. At that point, nothing was altered. It was a simple uninstall of v17 and reinstalled v16.
After a few trials or playing with the configuration, I got basically the same results no matter what I did. I had given up and decided I’ll give v17 another try.
Here it is, simple uninstall v16, then reinstalled v17. No playing around with configuration etc. The subtitles in 3D fixed themselves. They are displayed correctly.
Weird.
Does anyone have similar experience and know what went wrong? Could it be a simple button somewhere I need to click/unclick?
Honestly I do appreciate the development of v17. I do like v16 a lot more. For the reasons I posted on another thread. For instance, the quick jump with the home button that takes you back to the home screen with one click. Or being able to customize the lists to be displayed, eg. recently added, continuing shows, genre etc. I prefer a clean first page so it’d be ideal if we could have those back.
