I have been using kodi since version 11 and everything was so speedy and nice up until Kodi 17 and up through Kodi 17.1. It has made my systems on windows and my rpi’s run poorly. As a test I downgraded to Kodi 16 and everything was smooth again. The general feel of kodi seems slower and the video playback waiting to start videos is bad and even when watching videos on a full hardwired setup will still buffer a few times for a movie. Downgraded to 16 re watched the movie and not a single buffer.
I have seen countless comments but 0 post about it. Just curious if anyone from the Kodi team can shine a light on why the performance took a giant nose dive in Kodi 17?
