I have a lot of series with “specials” that are in chronological order in relation to the “normal” episode of a series. For example: in the middle of the season or between seasons, and the select last watched episode option doesn’t seems to be useful in this cases.
For example a series appear in this order in my TV shows library:
series 1×01
series 1×02
series 1×03
series 0x01
series 1×04
series 0x02
If I’ve watched the first episode Kodi selects the special 01 first, jumping the episode 2 and 3, and then jumps to the special 2. Kodi selects first the specials and later the episodes.
I got the same result with every option in -select all seasons and specials; both, just specials, just all seasons. With the exception of the option “neither” but then Kodi just ignores the specials.
I don’t think this is a bug just the way this part of Kodi is programed, there is a way to make Kodi select the last unwatched episode in “date order” and “episode order ? Or something to tell Kodi to just select the last unwatched episode after the last watched ?
Should I make a suggestion to maybe have this option in the future ?
I’m using Kodi 17.1 on windows 7 with the estuary mod skin
