song length too short how to change

the song length on the mp3 tag is too short causing the song to stop at the length on the tag not the real length of the song. is it possible to change the length in musicbrainz picard. it shows original song length 3:00 new song length 4:16, i saved it but still has original 3:00. how to change to right length please?
