[split] From Passthrough thread – Kodi install problems

I have a MVX android box and have been running Kodi on it for 18 months. I have it out in Spain and only use it for holidays. It was working Ok on Saturday 10th June but yesterday hardly any of the addons worked. I therefore decided after looking at the various sites to uninstall it and install the new version 17. I can not install Kodi at all. I have downloaded every type of download for the android but no success when it comes to install them from the file manager. all I get is ”PARSE ERROR” has anyone got any suggestions.
