I am running Kodi 17.3 on a Nvidia Shield 2017, and every once in a while items refuse to play, and state that there was an error creating the player. I had this happen a few times, even once on 17.2, and through reboots etc. I am able to restore functionality. My switch see’s no CRC errors on the any ports, and the cables test clean. Both my Shield and Synology NAS are hardwired to the same switch. The really odd part is that I can browse files on my NAS share fine, I can move up and down directories, files will enumerate etc. they just won’t play. I can connect to the same share using Kodi on my MAC without issue so I don’t believe it’s a problem with the NAS for files themselves. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
