I’m trying to play a local file (not over SMB), it’s 4GB MP4, here is the codec info from vlc: http://i.imgur.com/w9Iikpb.png
No matter what I try, the video doesn’t play, only the audio will, but it happens in a weird way where if i force kodi to go to the currently playing media i see the screen flicker a bit but where the video should be I just see the Kodi interface almost like the video is transparent. Kodi also can’t fetch a thumbnail for the file in the file browser. I know that the file is good because it plays everywhere else.
I’m at wits end, tried disabling hardware acceleration, messed with refresh sync and media refresh rate options, the works.
As you can see its a H.264 with AAC audio, is this a known bug or am I playing something that’s not supported?
Appreciate any help.
