I’m using VLC Player for Android on a Fire TV stick and I am at the version 3.5.4, the Software version of the Fire TV stick is 7.6.6.9 (PS7669/4007).
I was using the app for quite a while and had no issues at first, but now the video will freeze randomly, but the sound will still play along.
The media that seems to play without issues are mkv and avi files on 720p, but with mp4 media at same resolution it seem to run into this error all the time.
It is not consistent, sometimes it happens a lot and sometimes it runs without trouble for more than one hour. I tried with various settings from the menu, but I couldn’t find a solution.
The Media is stored on a Western Digital My Book external Harddrive, connected to my Router.
I hope someone had the same issue and found a valuable solution or has an idea what I could try.
