Presently I’m using an old iPhone 5S I’ve repurposed as my music phone. I like to record CDs from my collection onto my old MacBook into iTunes, and then add them to the old iPhone with the Wifi connection in Safari. I’ve been doing this for years and it’s always worked great. But this year after I loaded up my music phone for a long trip, I discovered that VLC won’t play all the songs on any given album, but routinely skips songs. I can’t find any repeatable pattern to it, although it seems to skip the same songs. But it’s not every one or every third one.
I’ve been using VLC for a long time. I’d love to keep on using it and don’t want to jump ship to another music player. I have my reasons for not wanting to use the Music app for my music, otherwise I’m completely in the Appleverse.
My son who turned me on to VLC years ago and is pretty adept at all things sound and tech can’t find anything weird in my settings. No shuffle.
My iPhone is on iOS 12.5.7 and my VLC is at v. 3.5.7.
Any help would be appreciated.
