Not sure if this matters but here is my setup, KODI 21 client is running on a Xiaomi TV, the TV is connected to a Samsung q990c soundbar, and I use plex for Kodi to play media on my plex server.
.ass subtitles tend to come up 1 – 2 seconds earlier than they should be. The subtitle file is fine, the timestamps match perfectly and there is no such issue in other players, on PC, etc.
I also noticed .srt and graphic subtitles also come up a little earlier than they do on other players, though not as bad as .ass subtitles, perhaps only 200ms ealier. .ass files are especially bad.
I don’t think this is a common problem as searches on internet gave me no results. Perhaps this is a Xiaomi TV only issue? Is there a way to fix this other than manually adjust the subtitle offset everytime I watch a movie?
