Intel NUC6i3SYH headless losing audio

Kodi works fine as long as everything is turned on. If I turn off the pioneer and projector overnight, and i turn on the next day, video works fine (at last, my last NUC would never allow this), but, audio is totally silent. Device manager shows the device is working. Using wasapi output device, hdmi. All intel drivers seem ot be current as checked by their download manager. Windows has no updates. Only happens after turning equipment off over night as far as I can tell. Receiver shows no audio signal of any type being received. Once audio is gone, switching inpits on receiver and going back does not help. Log shows no information about any problem. Will setup to capture a debug log overnight.

So, by no audio, I mean nothing from Kodi. No gui sounds even.

Not sure if it might be relevant, but also installed is playon. That product creates its own audio driver. Kodi is set for exclusive control over the hdmi output.

Undoubtedly related, quitting KODI and going to the sound control, panel and testing also yields no sound. This may indicate a Windows issue, or, may not. Only thing I can find that brings sound back is a reboot.

I’d be curious of anyone else with a similar NUC running headless with an A/V receiver and whether or not you have any issues.
