Any way to block the screensaver?

I installed Kodi on my LG oled B9 yesterday and tried using it to display a slideshow of a picture gallery.
While that part worked fine, the TV screensaver kicks in in about 2 minutes even though the slideshow is running.
Since there’s no way to turn of the screensaver in the TV settings, is there any way I can block the screensaver from starting in Kodi?
