I am frequently finding that my 17.3 does not load fanart. Sometimes same for poster, but fan art is usually more often affected.

I usually create my nfos using tmm. If tmm doesnt scrape fanart (mostly becoz its not on tmdb) i manually download someting using tmm so i do end up with a url in the nfo ánd a local <moviename>-fanart.jpg file. (I was trying to attach NFO but my tapatalk wont let me upload attachments from my iphone)
I am since recently (when time permits) uploading fanart into tmdb, which solves it at the source. Still, i am puzzled why it doesnt scrape. As far as i see my files conform to naming conventions and as kodi scrapes local info before going online i would expect this stuff to load. When i go into kodi and load the fanart manually it shows up fine.
Any thoughts whats going on?
Still error on my side? Buggy kodi scraper (seems highly unlikely)?
Again, the only recurring (seemingly) is that this happens with fanart i sourced manally into my media lib as described above.
